I am also well-trained in various body-mind techniques (yoga, shiatsu, TCM, martial arts, meditation, mindfulness, holotropic breath work, voice/movement therapy, other trance techniques, etc.).

In my therapeutic work, therefore, I use a rather rich and varied repertoire of therapeutic modalities and coaching techniques.

I provide services in Psychedelic Somatic Interactional Psychotherapy (PSIP), Psychedelic-Assisted Psychotherapy, Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP), Psychedelic Integration Therapy, Psychedelic Harm Reduction, and am training in MDMA-Assisted Psychotherapy with MAPS.

I work with Ketamine and Medical Cannabis, and use a number of different techniques to deepen the experience of my clients (hypnotherapy, imagery, somatic processing, IFS, breath work, music therapy, creative arts therapies, etc.).

In 25+ years of professional experience, I have worked with the whole gamut of psychological and relationship problems, psychiatric disorders, and neuropsychological conditions both in clinical and in private settings. I specialize in anxiety, depression, trauma/PTSD, grief, relationships, life transitions, and psychedelic processing and integration.

Eric Peterson | Minneapolis, MN

Licensed mental health provider: Yes

License or certification: LAPCC

PSIP certification: Level 1 Certificate of Mastery

Bio:

  • I received my M.A in Counseling and Psychological Services from Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota with a Graduate Certificate in Addiction Studies. I currently hold an alcohol and drug counseling license (LADC) and I am receiving supervision to obtain my license for professional clinical counseling (LPCC) in the state of Minnesota. I also hold a B.A. in Psychology. I have received training in psychedelic integration from Fluence, ketamine-assisted psychotherapy training from Polaris Insight Center, and Psychedelic Somatic Interactional Psychotherapy from the Psychedelic Somatic Institute.

  • My approach to healing is informed by cognitive-behavioral therapy, transpersonal psychology, person-centered therapy, & somatic and mindfulness-based therapies. I work through a biological, psychological, spiritual, and social lens when interacting with my patients. I take a strong look at how systems of oppression and control affect the mental, physical, and spiritual well-being of individuals. I believe that developing a safe and secure relationship with each of my patients is essential for them to learn new ways of thinking and behaving, to regulate their nervous system, to find meaning and purpose in their life, and to move towards creating a whole and complete sense of self. The services I provide are individual psychotherapy, psychedelic somatic interactional psychotherapy, psychedelic integration, and individual ketamine-assisted psychotherapy.

Somatic Therapy, Mindfulness Based, Neo-Shamanic
I provide a personalized approach to PSIP combining cannabis and ketamine work with somatic therapy in a sacred space. Creating a safe container that allows you to dive deeply into your body and subconscious, releasing old patterns that no longer serve you.

Pulling from over 20 years of experience in mind-body modalities, trained in PSIP, NeuroPhysical Reprograming (NPR), Yoga Nidra, Avatar Technique and Reiki. I first got introduced to psychedelic therapy when I was participant in MAPS clinical trial for MDMA, then later in a pilot study in Amsterdam using cannabis and psilocybin for PTSD. With the addition of PSIP you experience and embody profound gifts. I’m passional about helping others and honored to guide you to explore the innate intelligence that lies within.

PSIP certification: Level 1 Certificate of Mastery

Bio:

I’m glad you are here.  Honor the part of you that brought you here, is looking out for you, and seeking support in your journey.  We all have our traumas, some more than others, and learning to befriend, feel through, accept, and let go of their hold on us is our journey.

So many of our traumas/issues are of developmental and epigenetic (ancestral) origin, and this is my primary focus.

I have been working with psychedelics and healing for over 8 years personally, and for over 3 years supporting others.  I am a Certified Compassionate Inquiry Practitioner, Dr. Gabor Maté’s elegant method of helping others work with their traumas, as well as an Individual and Group Psychedelic Integration Facilitator, and a Psychedelic Somatic Interactional Therapist.  I am also very active in the Psychedelic Community.

I bring a broad and solid base of eclectic wisdom to this work.  I am experientially informed through my own big “T” trauma healing journey which includes: Psychedelics in and out of a Ceremonial context, Polyvagal Theory, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Jungian Therapy, Somatic Experiencing, Rosen Method Bodywork, Family Constellations, Medicine Dance (a form of ecstatic  dance), the wisdom of Alan Watts, and Eastern thought.

I appreciate and understand longing for relief, as well as the dedication and perseverance needed to process our traumas/issues. I honor your motivation to walk this path.  I am here, walking with you.
