Grace Abruzzo

I’m Grace, founder of The Rooted Institute. My work lives at the intersection of pelvic healing, trauma, and embodiment—shaped by both my professional training and my lived experience of growing up in a body with chronic pelvic pain.

Originally trained within a Western Physical Therapy model, I’ve since transitioned into a somatic, nervous system–led approach after recognizing that healing cannot be separated from emotion, memory, identity, and lived experience. My work now centers whole-body consent, attunement, and supporting the body’s innate capacity to shift when it has enough safety and support.

I came to the Psychedelic Somatic Institute seeking support for patterns I found myself stuck in—cycles that repeated despite insight, awareness, and all my efforts to “think” my way out of them. Through nearly 2 years of deep personal work within the PSIP model, I developed a lived understanding of the nervous system patterns that keep us looping, as well as the capacity required to be with what emerges when those patterns begin to unwind.

I speak the language of profound grief and existential inquiry, and I welcome the full spectrum of human experience into the healing space. My approach is steady, relational, and deeply attuned to each person’s unique nervous system.
