Amber Vantze

Amber Vantze, LMHC, brings a steady, highly attuned clinical presence to PSIP, with a focus on careful preparation, relational tracking, solution, deep processing, and thoughtful integration. Her work is grounded in the understanding that meaningful trauma healing often involves more than insight, explanation, or symptom management. For many clients, the patterns that remain most persistent are held in the body, organized through the nervous system, and shaped through relationship over time.

Amber specializes in working with therapists, clinicians, and highly self-aware clients, many of whom have already done meaningful personal or professional work, yet still sense that something essential has not shifted. Many of the people she works with are thoughtful, motivated, and capable, but continue to experience familiar patterns of activation, shutdown, self-protection, relational difficulty, or emotional intensity. Her approach supports clients in engaging the level of experience where these patterns are organized, rather than staying only at the level of understanding them.

Amber pays close attention to timing, readiness, capacity, and the subtle signals emerging from the nervous system. She is deliberate about not pushing for intensity and equally careful not to bypass material that is ready to move. Her work involves tracking what is happening beneath the surface, including protective responses, relational dynamics, dissociation, affective shifts, and the emergence of solution as the system becomes more able to process what was previously unresolved.

Amber’s preparation work is structured and discerning. She supports clients in developing enough stability, orientation, and relational trust for deeper processing to become possible. Integration is approached with the same level of care, helping clients understand what emerged, track what is changing, and support the translation of deep experiential work into daily life, relationships, and self-trust.

Amber holds a master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, with a foundation in systems theory that deeply informs her PSIP work. She understands trauma not only as something held within the individual nervous system, but also as something shaped through attachment, family systems, relational roles, protective adaptations, and the larger contexts in which a person learned to survive. This systems-oriented lens helps her track how unresolved material can emerge through the body, through relationship, and through the patterns clients continue to carry into adult life.

Her broader clinical background includes Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy, DBT, Brainspotting, EMDR, Holographic Memory Resolution, Emotion Focused Couples Therapy, Gottman Therapy, and Internal Family Systems. She draws from these approaches thoughtfully, not as a collection of techniques, but as supporting frameworks for preparation, capacity-building, relational understanding, systems awareness, and integration around the central PSIP process.

Amber is a licensed psychotherapist, clinical supervisor, KAP trainer and facilitator, and Program Director of Psychedelic Services at Illuminate Wellness Maui. In addition to direct clinical care, her work includes PSIP intensive facilitation, clinician training, consultation, program development, and clinical oversight for depth-oriented psychedelic and somatic therapy services.

Based in Maui, Amber brings a place-aware and culturally humble orientation to her work with Hawai‘i’s diverse communities. She provides therapy to residents and visitors present in the state. Her clinical style is warm, direct, relational, and deeply process-oriented. Her work supports shifting long-held survival patterns toward greater stability, connection, emotional range, self-trust, and lasting structural change.
