About
Todd
Todd Brossart, LCSW, BCD, is a psychotherapist and educator. His clinical work focuses on trauma, perception, and the integration of non-ordinary states, blending evidence-based therapy with somatic and process-oriented approaches.
Todd earned his Bachelor of Social Work from Minnesota State University Moorhead in 2004, where he was recognized by the North Dakota Conference on Social Welfare with the Outstanding Student Social Work Award. He went on to receive his Master of Social Work from the University of Denver in 2008 and was a member of the Phi Alpha Honor Society.
Following graduate school, Todd spent 12 years at the Department of Veterans Affairs outpatient mental health clinic in Denver, where he worked with complex presentations including trauma, substance use, and severe mental illness. During this time, he developed expertise in evidence-based modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Substance Use Disorders, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Social Skills Training.
His work at the VA was recognized nationally when he received the Secretary’s Award for Outstanding Achievement in Providing Mental Health Services to Homeless Veterans, presented by Eric Shinseki. He was later honored by the Adams County Veterans Court with an Award of Merit for Outstanding Service.
Todd’s clinical approach has continued to evolve through advanced training in somatic and experiential modalities. He completed the Psychedelic Somatic Institute’s apprenticeship program in 2023 and the Integrative Psychiatry Institute’s Psychedelic-Assisted Therapy training in 2025, earning licensure as a Natural Medicine Facilitator in Colorado. His work integrates these approaches with a broader philosophical interest in perception, embodiment, and the conditions that support meaningful change.
