I’m an experienced relational somatic psychotherapist working in the UK, with a background in psychiatry. I have a strong foundation in authentic embodied ancient meditation practise for over 20 years, and through this I have come to deeply trust in the unfaltering truthfulness of the body, which PSIP expounds.

I offer PSIP without medicine, fully legally in the UK and online. I find that the direct relational encounter, framed so beautifully in the PSIP model, is the most potent medicine at the heart of this work. This is just as true in Developmental Somatic Psychotherapy, which is my foundational training in working somatically and relationally at depth which I bring to my work in PSIP. I am passionate about the subtle somatic life which emerges in contact. Through which we can discover new orientations to being (in relationship, and in the world), and new freedoms in what feels safe between us.

I worked as a psychiatrist for 17 years, and have worked as a psychotherapist for over 20yrs. I have experience with complex relational trauma both in the national health service and in private settings. I’ve worked exclusively in independent psychotherapy over the last decade, in order to align my work with my values, and to support intuitive, authentic practice. I find that softer and slower (with or without medicines) is no less profound than harder and faster; and that working somatically can be, in and of itself, an expanded state of consciousness.
